General Event Information

Meetup is our main platform and that is where our calendar is located. Most of our events will take place in the daytime on the weekdays. The majority of our events will be casual and kid friendly. We also try to keep events in Sandy or the surrounding area.

Any member can create an event, and if you have an event in your home you can let us know in the description of the event of anything we might need to know. Such as: where to park, if you have pets, etc. Only members can go to another member's home.

Below are the descriptions of the more specific events we offer.

Events to Know About

Chapter Meetings

Once a month we have a chapter meeting. All members are invited to chapter meetings. At these meetings we discuss any club business that needs to be addressed. This includes budgets, rules, plans for future events, voting on certain issues, and addressing any other concerns that may arise. We also will have speakers or other activities depending on the month and the needs of the club. Chapter Meetings will always be kid friendly and will occasionally have optional childcare

MOM's Night Out

Once a month the calendar committee or the board will plan a MOM's Night OUT (MNO). This is a night for the moms to take a break from the kids and do some fun activities with other moms from the club.

Examples of a MNO: Wine and cheese tasting, going to a play, eating at a restaurant, paint night etc.

JUMPs

Just Us Moms Playdate (JUMPs) are events that take place during the day and like the title says are just for the moms. Example of a JUMP event: Bowling, hiking, playing sports, taking a cooking class, going to a movie etc.

Book Club

We have a book club once a month. Our book club takes place in the daytime and is kid friendly.

Family Event

Once a year the board and the calendar committee will host a family event. This is a great event for the members to get to know each other's family

Service Projects

Our Service projects are a vital part of our club. The Administrative Vice President along with the Community Service Committee pick service projects that will help benefit the community around us.

Holiday Events

We love celebrating the holidays as a club and will have either MNO holiday events or kid friendly ones. Examples: Friendsgiving, MNO Christmas Party, Galentines Brunch, Kids Halloween Party, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.

Open House

At least once a year we will have an open house for potential members to come and learn about the club. We encourage members to invite anyone who might be interested in joining to come to the open house. Unlike our regular events we will advertise this event to the public.

End of Year Board Appreciation Party

At the end of our year we will have a party to celebrate the accomplishments of the club and the board. This event is for members only. No potential members.
